Going to Kenya to be a part of the Follow the Liters program was one of the coolest experiences of my life. It was such an honor to witness all the hard work this team put into the program and get to interact firsthand with all the students. There is something truly life-changing about the whole experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested!

We are looking for extraordinary social media storytellers to help us share with the world the perks and adventures behind a campaign with a massive scale reaching 1 Million school children with safe water in developing communities. Learn more about Follow the Liters


  • A trip to Kenya from Feb 22nd to March 4th 2018*  to work alongside the LifeStraw team to distribute water purifiers to rural primary schools
  • LifeStraw gear

IMPORTANT! To be eligible, you need to be: resident of the USA or Canada, 21 years of age at least, have a valid passport, vaccinations necessary and eligibility to apply for the appropriate visa to enter Kenya

* Depart North America on February 22nd and return on the 4th of March

How to participate:
Step 1Post a video (up to 30 secs) on your social media channel (Twitter, Instagram or Facebook) telling us why you want to attend LifeStraw’s Follow the Liters Program in Kenya. We also want to hear about your creative ideas for how to capture the experience while you are there. 
Step 2: Tag @lifestraw and include the hashtag #LifeStraw1million in your post 
Step 3: After you post the video, complete the form below and submit it.  

Entries will be evaluated by creativity, relevance and the social engagement of your entry post until Jan. 1st 2018. Winners will be announced on the first week of 2018
